We all have heard the famous quote “Rome wasn’t built in a day”, but we probably missed the next line - “but they were laying bricks every hour.” That’s my approach in life. There isn’t a shortcut to success and you need a team working together to build something magnificent. For me, a perfect day involves working with cross functional teams, appropriately engaging stakeholders, thrown with a pinch of event management to achieve excellence. Organizing and managing events is always a customer-centric endeavor. As an event expert, achieving guest objectives and displaying immaculate hospitality whilst ensuring our team members are working proudly and effectively is an environment that I adore working in. As a team player supporting executive education, I was responsible for the smooth running of executive development programs and business development activities. I had also worked with our foreign offices for the production of teaching material and collateral. I’ve also worked with local partners on logistics management and spearheaded coordination with international speakers. Being highly organized and detail-oriented has enabled me to be hugely successful. The emphasis on people-centric approach, with the model to execute, influence and lead has and is serving me well at Google. Besides thriving in changing conditions, and having an obsession with making things work, I also work with the awareness that it also just takes a day for Rome to burn. That awareness serves me well that we cannot rest on our laurels and always keep on chasing. When I'm looking for down time, you can find me relaxing at home, with a Jack Reacher novel, taking walks with my wife or just immersing myself in video games, chasing for more victories.
