I have over nine years of experience working for the United Nations, the International Federation of the Red Cross and the British Red Cross in special political missions, international disaster management and humanitarian consulting. I am currently the acting Liaison Officer (P3) in a regional office with the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia, working to monitor the fulfilment of the 2016 Peace Agreement, signed between the former FARC-EP and the Government of Colombia. Previously I was a Disaster Preparedness Consultant working for IFRC in the Caribbean and I am a cash assistance delegate having been deployed to Greece with IFRC as part of the Europe Refugee Crisis response. I have extensive experience co-ordinating humanitarian relief operations for BRC, including for the Venezuela crisis, Hurricane Dorian 2019, Bosnia Population Movement and Hurricanes Irma and Maria in the Caribbean in 2017. I completed an MSc in International Development October 2018 and was awarded the International Development Dissertation prize for my thesis on protection approaches to cash programming in Afghanistan. I speak English and Spanish.I am most interested in working for international organisations specialising in humanitarian response or peacekeeping missions. I have a particular interest in cash assistance programming, refugee issues and protection work.
