I am a highly experienced leader with over 20 years’ experience working in the State and local government context in Victoria and nationally with the Australian Defence Force. My key areas of leadership expertise include strategy development, leading change, project management, policy development, stakeholder engagement, financial management and managing large teams. I am passionate about delivering high quality, customer centric outcomes through fostering a positive workplace culture for excellence and innovation. I also have a keen interest in smart cities and the future of place.I have significant specialist knowledge in the fields of public and environmental health, occupational health and hygiene, environment protection, health promotion and public health emergency management. This includes as a Public Health Coordinator seconded to the Victorian Government in the immediate aftermath of the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires, advising on relief and recovery for East Gippsland Shire Council following the 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires, Pandemic Coordinator for the Boroondara City Council and numerous other significant emergencies attended as a Life Saving volunteer, State Emergency Service volunteer, as Municipal Recovery Manager for the Boroondara City Council and as a member of expeditionary health support in the Royal Australian Air Force. I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Graduate Certificate in Management, Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and a Bachelor of Health Science (Environmental Health Management). I am a fellow of Environmental Health Professionals Australia and a member of Local Government Professionals.
