As part of the Economics team, I worked on the financial flows workstream, which considered how funding moved from the Department of Health to individual commissioner and provider organisations. During my time on this project, I conducted more detailed research into the drivers of labour productivity across provider organisations. This work culminated in the first annual 'Anatomy of Health Spending' report.

A Senior Consultant in the Transactions and Strategy business unit, specialising in Operational Research. Responsible for developing Steer Davies Gleave's Stated Preference capability.

Joining the Retirement Unit, this placement gave experience of the types of project that those entering the profession as Actuarial Trainees would work on. This included calculating Transfer Values (both in and out of pension schemes), calculating early retirement costs and working as a member of teams completing actuarial valuations. This placement gave me an excellent insight into actuarial work and broader financial modelling skills.
