I am the founder of Bernard Legal Consulting, offering employment law, contract management and negotiation, and other outside general counsel services to companies of all sizes.Before founding BLC, I was the Associate General Counsel of Arch Amenities Group, an amenity management and consulting services provider operating across the United States and internationally at hotels, resorts, residential communities, and commercial properties. In my role at AAG, I drafted, revised, and negotiated sales, service, and management agreements; implemented Ironclad contract management software and developed processes and solutions for contract administration, compliance, and risk management; managed employee relations issues, including investigating and responding to claims before the EEOC and state agencies, authoring policies and procedures and revising employee handbooks, and advising on terminations and adverse actions; and took a lead role in resolving disputes, including engaging in mediation and settlement of claims and managing outside litigation counsel.Prior to joining AAG, I was employed as a member of the Civil Litigation and Employment groups at Joseph Greenwald & Laake, P.A., with a focus on representing employers and employees in wage and hour and discrimination disputes and representing plaintiffs in civil rights actions. Before that, I was a litigation associate at Parsons Behle & Latimer in Salt Lake City, Utah, focusing on commercial litigation and high-value tort claims, including catastrophic personal injury matters and civil actions related to sexual harassment and sexual assault.
