• Capstone project focused on the process improvement of five commonly delayed antibiotic administrations.• Collected data via time studies, Epic reports, and interviews of various employees at the hospital.• Organized weekly meetings with the OLOL engineering staff and pharmacist, LSU faculty advisors, and team members.• Identified root causes of delayed administrations for each antibiotic and produced zero cost recommendations for each.• Produced three recommendations that were approved by project stakeholders. • Used statistical analysis (F-tests and T-tests) to analyze performance and cost analysis of the recommendations.• All three recommendations met the management objectives, with one recommendation significantly decreasing the rate of delayed administrations. All three recommendations combined are projected to save the hospital about $9,500 per year.
