Manage 20+ of the firms partnership, strategic planning, asset liability and de novo banking clients nationwide. FinPro’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) and responsible for the de novo banking service line, helping numerous groups move from an idea to an insured depository bank. Existing banking clients range from $100 million to $10 billion in asset size, varying in geographies, business models and ownership structures. Extensive experience managing engagements including capital markets, enterprise risk management, strategic planning, de novo bank formation, branch analysis, market feasibility and asset/liability management (ALM). Lead numerous Board of Director and Management retreats, focusing on strategic initiatives and corporate governance education. Also taught at industry schools and been quoted in and written many articles for industry publications. Speaker to trade associations and graduate school of banking seminars on such topics as regulatory environment, strategic planning, investment due diligence and current lending environment. Formulated action plans and reports to aid in the removal of formal and informal regulator orders from multiple clients. Currently lead FinPro’s de novo banking service line. Over the past few years have lead the group that has been one of the market leaders in de novo banking and successfully advised numerous banks who gained regulatory approval and subsequently opened their doors: First Womens Bank (IL, opened 2021), New Valley Bank and Trust (MA, opened 2019), Beacon Community Bank (SC, opened 2018) and Primary Bank (NH, opened 2015). Further, advising many de novo banking groups who are in pre-application filing process, which provides valuable insight and experience of the process. Role is to advise in formation banks, create business plan, create market feasibility study, create CRA Plan, coordinate meetings and filing with regulators, advise on management and Board composition along with numerous other items.
