I’m Nicholas Smith, Chief Operating Officer of the Duncan & Toplis group, a people-focused professional services business. Duncan & Toplis is one of the largest accounting, audit and business advisers in the East Midlands, supporting more than 12,000 businesses and individuals with a wide range of services.As part of the Executive Leadership Team and Group Operations Board, I work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and play a major role in implementing the group’s ambitious new growth strategy, which will support Duncan & Toplis in the biggest period of growth in an almost 100 year history.Formerly head of tax, I have now adopted a broader leadership role, overseeing all service lines and supporting day-to-day operational activities.
