Northland CAPS is a profession‐based learning approach where students are fully immersed in the business community, treated as professionals and participate in real projects, using industry standard tools with real business partners. Students will begin their professional network with business partners and mentors, therefore jump‐starting their career all before they enter college.

As a Cerner Scholar I work on a team of software engineers as an intern to help to develop and debug code for a hospital machine called the RxStation. So far I have written code to modify the reporting system to help nurses to better understand where the medicine in the machine is. I have also written scripts to automate the testing of the program for it.
