Trying new marketing strategies is such a wonderful way to build a career and I love being a part of an adaptive, open-minded team. An experienced marketing manager specializing in non-traditional face-to-face marketing at trade shows, events and door-to-door, I excel at hiring, training and building strong marketing teams. I started my journey into marketing humbly, as a door-to-door canvasser setting appointments for window and door replacement and since then, quickly worked my way up in (F2F) face-to-face marketing management & event management. Some achievements include: I wrote the training manual for the event marketing team and implemented training and team building strategies that went department and company wide through Mr. Rogers Windows and doors / Renewal by Andersen of Virginia Beach. Started with a team of 5 low performing event marketers & with a lot of hiring, training & mindset activities, managed to built a strong team of 10 high performing marketers who were on my team for over a year, some were on my team since 2018 - February of 2021. Likewise, started with a team of 2 door canvassers and trained/built it to a strong team of 14 canvassers. Pivoted from F2F events to door-to-door training & virtual events during the COVID-19 pandemic - learning new platforms & methods necessary for successful virtual events and door-to-door marketing. I trained and built a strong team of door-to-door canvassers that during the pandemic, generated over 1.2 million dollars in net sales in four months company wide. I created the training classes, Prezi presentations and RSVP slideshow PowerPoint presentations that are used for several departments & marketing events. As a lifelong learner with a growth mindset, I know hard work pays off given the right opportunity. Post pandemic, June 2021 Brent Nelson & I launched a F2F marketing and fundraising business called, Converting.Conversation.
