I am driven by public welfare. If there is an opportunity to improve outcomes for families and children, that’s where you’ll find me. My first full-time career was the US Army. As MP, Emergency Responder and Drug Investigation Team member, I addressed crime, domestic violence, and other law abiding issues. From these experiences, my life’s purpose emerged.I embarked on a journey with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and progressed to date as empowering leader providing for the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and adults.As a trusted, influential resource, I’ve forged strong relationships with government agencies, private/nonprofit institutions, and community members. At the same time, I’ve built powerhouse teams committed to the important work we do and directed specialized units across a myriad of sectors, including prevention, protective services, and foster care. Believing in the power of knowledge and initiative, I’ve worked diligently to amass broad subject expertise while strengthening stakeholder relations and co-developing new policies/protocols that improve compliance, efficiency, and lives.I’m regarded as a strong, compassionate voice for those in need while delivering real results through:
