I am driven by public welfare. If there is an opportunity to improve outcomes for families and children, that’s where you’ll find me. My first full-time career was the US Army. As MP, Emergency Responder and Drug Investigation Team member, I addressed crime, domestic violence, and other law abiding issues. From these experiences, my life’s purpose emerged.I embarked on a journey with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and progressed to date as empowering leader providing for the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and adults.As a trusted, influential resource, I’ve forged strong relationships with government agencies, private/nonprofit institutions, and community members. At the same time, I’ve built powerhouse teams committed to the important work we do and directed specialized units across a myriad of sectors, including prevention, protective services, and foster care.
