I don't plan on teaching, but I have a profound concern and admiration for the youth of my city, and nation. From September of 2018 to March of 2020, I served as a tutor and as site coordinator for the Mobile County Training School after-school academic enrichment program, sponsored and ran by Spring Hill College and Wilmer Hall. This opportunity to allowed me to make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of dozens of minority children hailing from underserved and impoverished areas and households. Through our program and with the help of my tutors, a great number of students we were fortunate to serve made considerable academic and social progress.1. During Summer of 2019, I partnered with That’s My Child, a nonprofit organization located in Montgomery, AL, to organize a career fair for young adults aged 17-21. We were primarily targeting those who were not planning on furthering their education after having received a high school diploma, yet searching for a sustainable career. This summer experience allowed me to gain deep insight into what occurs throughout the judicial process.
