I have experience across various sectors including local, state, federal government, and higher education, delivering solutions to protect organizations from cyber threats. Additionally, I serve as the Technical Director of a startup, overseeing governance, legal matters, strategic planning, and technical operations.I currently lead the global security operations team of an ASX100 organisation to ensure 24x7 coverage against cyber threats. Historically, I've managed penetration testing, application security programs, and worked in security architecture, giving me a comprehensive understanding of foundational cybersecurity domains.Having learned hacking at a young age, I possess vital technical skills that help me identify and mitigate complex security challenges. I have proven experience in building and implementing security solutions that solve enterprise size scaling challenges and I have proven experience in disrupting sophisticated cyber threats. I like to leverage offensive cyber practices to provide defensive cyber capabilities and I see myself as both a breaker and a builder. I develop tools that automate and enhance cyber capabilities, improving visibility and risk mitigation at scale.My early career as a software developer has provided me with empathy and understanding for secure systems deployment. I have strong experience in software development using C#, .NET, Node.js, React.js, SQL Server, Postgres, Terraform, Cloud Formation etc. I have sharp offensive security (red-teaming and penetration testing) skills and have found numerous critical vulnerabilities at multiple Fortune 500 and ASX companies through contract work and through bug bounty programs. I have the ability to craft and chain custom exploits to demonstrate realistic impact rather than discussing just theoretical impacts. I've spoken at the OWASP Global AppSec APAC Conference, been a guest speaker for University Queensland Cyber Squad, as well as talking at other local Australian events.
