    I led the development of the UK Government’s main environmental policy, its commitment to improve all aspects of the environment within a generation through a 25 Year Environment Plan. I established the team that developed the plan and led the Plan's development. It was launched by the UK Prime Minister in 2018. I then led its implementation, which included driving forward the inclusion of the 25 YEP into law alongside environmental targets through the upcoming Environment Bill.Alongside this, I managed the Natural Capital Committee secretariat, an independent committee that advises the Government on how the state of the natural environment affects the performance of the economy and individual wellbeing.
