Tasks include:• Lead the structural engineering through design, analysis, manufacture and test of the structure• Perform and manage the finite element modelling and verification of the satellite system and structure, including dynamic, static, acoustic and thermo-elastic analysis. • Produce the technical assessment for the subcontract process for the structure manufacture. This include assessing and comparing supplier proposals and identifying the qualification status and development risks that may be present• Propose and manage the qualification philosophy of the structure. This includes defining numbers, types and standards of tests required as well as assessing the manufacturing processes proposed by suppliers• Provide the technical authority for the structure design. I am the responsible engineer for the design, analysis, manufacture and test phase of the project• Support the System level trade-offs with both mechanical analysis assessments and intuition gained through personal experience. The system design is heavily dependent on the flexibility and robustness of the structure and it is required that I have a good understanding of the system to help assess the • Directly interact with the end-use customer during technical and commercial discussions• Support the manufacturing phase of the project, by defining and agreeing acceptance testing and repair schemes Show less
