I have 24 Years experience In the Security industry holding positions of Security Officer, Security Manager, Security Operations Manager. I am currently enjoying my 12th year at Resorts World Casino New York City as a Security Officer. I am also a Union Delegate for the Hotel Trades Council local 6 which I enjoy helping others in need and being a voice when their voice is not heard.Working at the number one Casino in America definitely has its advantages, you get to interact with many different people, so learning from challenge and change is a necessity. I take great pride in my Security Department and understand Security comes in many forms, many shapes, many sizes, being visible, approachable, passionate, with a sense of compassion for others, critical thinking, sound judgment, communication, leadership and the ability to De-escalate verbally.I come with a great passion for teaching with the understanding that everybody learns differently. knowing what motivates , Individual strengths and weaknesses should be able to guide you with the appropriate way to instruct and get the most out of everyone to be more positive with having the knowledge, productivity and efficiency. In my opinion, success is a vital measurement in conjunction with knowledge. If we make mistakes and there is no positive corrective action, how can we progress? If we do not foster a learning culture , what are we actually teaching? I go by the motto of “touching things once”.Why Security is vital for business is that we are a department that cannot be measured, we have intangibles that usually go unnoticed. We are responsible for an awful lot. Our bottom line consists of restitution of saving company assets, property damage, preventing accidents which can lead to litigation, public service, which I would like to add is huge for repeat business or repeat visits to your business, developing partnerships within the business and the surrounding communities. Setting the tone with your patrons comes with consistency upholding codes of conduct while visiting the property, being friendly while assertive and professional at all times while carrying out Security duties. I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds as I am confident in the abilities that I possess and know my value of what I bring to the table. I am grateful to God first and foremost as I am nothing without him, To my Parents, who I know are looking down and watching over me which drives me every day to represent them well.
