New product development leader combining technical product development with core project management, leading a global team of twenty design managers and projects managers. Accountable for: - Leadership of integrated new product development across R&D, Operations, Quality and Commercial functions in the UK and Southeast Asia, from product inception to launch, balancing the drive for project delivery, product specifications and quality standards. - Defining critical programme and product targets, including key milestones, financial targets, and product requirements. - Stakeholder management up to C-suite level in relation to the reporting of programme health, the escalation of project issues and facilitating critical decision making on product change requests. - Creating and maintaining project business cases and central budgets (including OPEX and CAPEX) and ensuring the correct inputs from technical and business/commercial functions. - Management of resource availability from multiple functions across the portfolio, ensuring resource was deployed effectively across critical projects and phases. - Leadership and line management of the Product Programmes team, supporting their development, well-being, and delivery of key projects. - Communicating to the wider R&D groups in UK and Malaysia, hosting cross functional All Hands Briefings to communicate portfolio strategy, project progress and to reward and recognise team performance.

Working on a number of international projects within the Programmes team. In charge of delivering projects from Sales handover to EIS (Entry into Service). Responsible for:- Client Management, building and maintain relationships with internal airlines.- Programme Set Up - working with the Business Development team to agree on project definition, project price & delivery schedules)- Airframer Management - understanding the general/top level airframe requirements and feeding these to the engineering project team. Graduate Engineering following a year long Graduate Development Scheme.Placement One: Engineering Project LeadWorking closely with the Programme Manager on a "blue-sky" (brand new design) project for an international airline. Taking many responsibilities of the Engineering Project Lead, being in charge of the engineering deliverables of the project and taking part in design meetings with both the customer and Airbus.Placement Two: Industrialisation EngineeringWorking with the Industrialisation Process Technicians within the Industrialisation Department, built up the very first design prototypes of the suite for the Critical Design Review (CDR). Following the CDR event with the customer, worked at improving the mechanical design, feeding results back to the design team for implementation on future prototypes. Placement Three: Programme ManagementWorking for a senior programme manager, the aim of the placement was to be trained up to a level to take on a simple project. The placement was heavily focused on developing skills in schedule adherence, cost & risk management and scope creep. The setting for this placement was a new product entering service in South East Asia. Responsibilities at this stage of the project were very biased towards customer issues in service and sorting out operational issues through meticulous Root Cause Analysis sessions.
