Taking many responsibilities of the Engineering Project Lead, being in charge of the engineering deliverables of the project and taking part in design meetings with both the customer and Airbus.Placement Two: Industrialisation EngineeringWorking with the Industrialisation Process Technicians within the Industrialisation Department, built up the very first design prototypes of the suite for the Critical Design Review (CDR). Following the CDR event with the customer, worked at improving the mechanical design, feeding results back to the design team for implementation on future prototypes. Placement Three: Programme ManagementWorking for a senior programme manager, the aim of the placement was to be trained up to a level to take on a simple project. The placement was heavily focused on developing skills in schedule adherence, cost & risk management and scope creep. The setting for this placement was a new product entering service in South East Asia. Responsibilities at this stage of the project were very biased towards customer issues in service and sorting out operational issues through meticulous Root Cause Analysis sessions.
