I am a seasoned manager of complex and business critical initiatives, with over twenty-five years of engineering and innovation experience across Automotive, Marine, Mining and Aerospace sectors. Possessing a high degree of commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset, I have held roles in Business Development, Program Directorship, Strategy, Engineering and General Management. Currently, Head of Mechanical Engineering for global mining technology company Imdex Ltd. My project exposure is diverse. I have managed R&D programs in high technology systems, as well as advanced application-engineering programs for customers around the globe. I have guided the Australian government on fuels and GHG policy, helped OEMs meet the latest emissions norms on both petrol and diesel products, worked with technology leaders to develop state-of-the-art systems for the mining industry, established an innovation accelerator and partnered with CSIRO on the health effects of pollutants. Having worked most of my professional life in the technology consultancy space, I enjoy helping organisations find cost effective approaches to their engineering challenges. My works have been published in numerous international technical papers and I am the holder of patents in engine related technologies and product with embedded control systems across several industries. In addition to my professional roles, I am passionate about youth education in STEM, with a particular focus on digital systems and robotics, and have received recognition as innovator, advocate and community leader.
