Recommendations Platform - Foxtel uses a cloud based content recommendations platform from a global technology leader. Over the last 12 months, this has become more integrated to the end user experience enable powerful CMS driven experiences to better curate and promote content to the end user. With overall responsibility for product innovation, this role includes responsibility for defining the product strategy, product definition & development and supporting in-life product development.

After the merger of Foxtel and Austar (July 2012), I was asked to take on a role as Product Delivery Manager. In this role, I would be responsible for the Project Management Team tasked with delivering all new products for Foxtel. Examples include the introduction of next generation set-top-units, on-line products such as iOS and Android applications, the enhancement of existing products on the iQ2 and MyStar platforms and the delivery of the vast array of engineering projects required to enable these new products.
Broadcast Technology Manager
As Broadcast Technology Manager, I was responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of broadcast technology at Austar. Fundamentally, this can be broken into three components:1. Technology Strategy - Working with the Product Strategy and Senior Management Team, I was responsible for developing the appropriate technology strategy to ensure there was a constant stream of products delivered to meet the business needs. This included the management of an internal technical architecture team as well as strategic vendor management.2. Product Delivery - There were several internal teams and external vendors, responsible for delivering on the technology roadmap. I managed these teams and was responsible for the delivery of products into the field.3. Broadcast Operations - Once products were launched, I was responsible for the in-life technology support provided by the Broadcast Operations Team.This role also included financial responsibility of all product technology development and support (approx. $10m pa) and line management responsibility of all areas of Broadcast Technology (~35 people).
