I am guiding the technical design and commercial development of EnPot, the breakthrough technology I helped invent with the Light Metals Research Centre, which enables large scale demand response of aluminium smelters, providing vital grid services and enabling renewable energy penetration and carbon emissions reduction.I have extensive experience in research and development and technical support for the primary aluminium smelting industry, as well as work in plant simulation and optimisation, product quality monitoring and real-time estimation in a range of processing industries.I am also a freelance photographer, with interests in portrait and editorial photography, and personal work in travel and landscape photography. I also have interests in cinematography and film editing, and always keen to do and learn new creative things!
