Working in a fast paced, rapidly changing & exciting industry, this is a challenging role reporting to the company accountant & managing and developing the accounts payable team & industrial placement students. Duties and responsibilities include; •Responsibility for accurately reporting monthly accounts under IFRS & intercompany reconciliations to Daimler head office. •Preparation of VAT returns, EC sales listings & annual preparation of R & D tax comps, statutory accounts & documentation for auditors. •Daily cash management, bank reconciliations, petty cash, employee expenses, payment runs, raising sales invoices, credit control & Barclaycard management. •Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow forecasts, ratio analysis, preparation of accruals/prepayments & control of expat costs.•Responsible for developing Expat cost centre budgets circa £1.5m, forecasts and variance analysis.•Management of fixed asset register, ensuring that assets are capitalised/disposed of correctly and depreciation charged accurately on a monthly basis•Maintenance of departmental quality management system, ensuring compliance and quality assurance of key processes.•Developing custom reports within SAP to maximise transparency of management information.

Working in a busy finance department of a large manufacturing company, main responsibilities of this role included running month end stock reports and the calculation of WIP, standard costs & overhead absorption figures on a monthly basis. Another key aspect was the calculation of prepayments & accruals for offshore manufacturers and also those relating to headquarter expenditure. The role also included budgetary control, recharging costs and producing stock schedules.

This temporary assignment included dealing with & rectifying a demanding quantity of complex queries from suppliers & site managers across a large divisional organisation. Statement reconciliation & posting invoices onto SAP were also a large element of the job.

This role encompassed responsibility for the purchase ledger function in a busy flavour manufacturing company. Duties included coding, matching and inputting raw material & non-consumable invoices, bank reconciliations, reconciling cashbooks, journal entries, managing invoice queries and authorisation for payments, cheque and BACS payment runs, including foreign currency payments, expense analysis, balance sheet & statement reconciliations.
