As a Planning Coordinator with the Remote Communities Branch in the WA Department of Communities, I negotiate agreements with Aboriginal communities throughout Western Australia regarding housing management and infrastructure projects. Additionally, I research land tenure, Aboriginal heritage and native title matters.

As a Strategy Assistant within the Department's Strategy and Partnership Division, I undertook research and develop responses to support policy and programs within the Youth, Carers and Grandcarers portfolios. I liaised with key stakeholders, including the Carers Advisory Council and the Ministerial YouthAdvisory Council WA, external agencies and internal business areas about project responsibilities and contribute to the administration, monitoring and analysis of program activities and policies.

Working with the Curriculum Transformation Team, located in Curtin's Learning Innovation and Teaching Excellence Centre, I am leading a project to improve access and equity to higher education. In this role, I demonstrate knowledge of curriculum development to improve educational outcomes for students, universal design and inclusive learning strategies, and research and problem-solving skills evaluating existing strategies and policies.

As a sessional academic at Murdoch University, I have taught language, literacy and academic skills within the Bachelor of Arts, the Bachelor of Education and the On Track enabling program. Additionally, I have taught in the discipline of history, politics and global security. I have completed Murdoch's Learning and Teaching Certificate in Higher Education, and am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).

As a learning advisor with Murdoch University's Support for Learning team, I provided one-on-one learning consultations and other academic support. Additionally, I demonstrated teaching and learning strategies, and knowledge of academic literacy, by preparing and delivering academic skills workshops for domestic and international undergraduate and postgraduate students and preparing online resources for academic skills development. I collaborated with academic colleagues to embed learning support initiatives into targeted units and courses and delivered professional development to sessional academic staff. I contributed to University’s strategic directions for student success by actively engaging in project working groups to develop and deliver Orientation and UniEdge programs for commencing students, as well as the Introductory Academic Program for Australian Awards students.

As a unit coordinator and developer within UND's social justice program, I have developed, coordinated, lectured and tutored units in social justice, human rights and Aboriginal studies.

As a Learning Advisor with ECU's Faculty of Education and Arts, I demonstrated teaching and learning strategies, and knowledge of academic literacy, by preparing and delivering academic skills workshops. I also facilitated a first year History reading group, and assisting students at assignments ‘drop-in’ sessions, to improve academic literacy and provided one-on-one consultations with students in need of extra learning support. I prepared learning materials and with academic staff to embed literacy in course materials.

I planned and delivered English as an Additional Language and Information Technology lessons to classes of mixed ability young adult learners. I catered for learning needs of students with limited schooling backgrounds by extensively modelling tasks and developing individual learning plans. I demonstrated an ability to use a range of teaching and learning strategies, including ICT teaching strategies (PowerPoint, online learning activities, Microsoft Office etc.) and interpret and implement curriculum documents by embedding assessment of students’ learning outcomes into teaching and learning programs.

I investigated alleged breaches of awards and industrial legislation, conciliated between parties, and gave advice, to resolve grievances about employment entitlements. I demonstrated ability to interpret legislation and policies by working to ensure compliance with industrial laws, awards and agreements.
