Working in a small organisation with a monthly turnover of around £1Million, I have learnt many new skills. Employing only only 15 people, I get the opportunity to cover for my colleagues and get involved in many various roles as we work together as a close team.I spend many weeks in the year looking after the works duties when my works manager is off, including production planning and processing of the jobs as well as planning deliveries on our 2 lorries. I was instrumental in implementation of the new Microsoft access computer system 8 years ago adapting it with an IT consultant to fit the needs of our business. I still have a key role in IT support given the business set up. My background is sales, and as well as looking after our current order book and customer base, I am constantly look at ways to grow the business with existing customers and new ones. I enjoy very much the fact that each day is different here and my role in this small organisation is full of variety which means that I continue to feel fresh each day. I also enjoy the self satisfaction that comes as a result of knowing that my actions actually make a difference to the business.
