- Represent the Hospital as an Institutional Signature Authority for research grants and contracts, clinical trial agreements, industrial sponsored research contracts, material transfer agreements, technology transfer agreements, confidentiality disclosure agreements, service agreements, and consultant agreements. - Developed and implemented programs including measurable metrics to streamline the contracting process and reduce the turnaround time on contract execution. Total Clinical Trial Agreements executed in FY21 increased by 28% over the previous year.- Work with Tufts MC Legal Department to ensure contract language is appropriate for Tufts MC’s risk tolerance.- Work with Scientists, Research Administrators, and department Administrators in developing grant and contract research proposals and verifying compliance issues in accordance with Tufts MC and Sponsoring Agencies policies and requirements (human subjects AAHRPP requirements, consulting arrangements, etc.).

BIDMC's Clinical Trials Office brings industry sponsors and physician-investigators together to conduct research in specific therapeutic areas to promote new initiatives and expand clinical research programs. As the CTO's Senior Contracting Specialist, I draft and negotiate corporate sponsored (pharma & medical device manufacturers) clinical trial agreements. I also advise physicians on a variety of legal issues surrounding human-subject research, working cross-functionally with Financial Analysts to ensure a comprehensive, appropriate budget component for each contract.
