I buy, manage, maintain the Shopify website that I built, oversee social media, advertise on social… I did all these things and more for the shop’s previous (award-winning) incarnation, Any Old Lights.Back in 2021 I took time off the retail and studied an MA in Comedy Writing at nearby Falmouth University. Graduated summer 2023 with a distinction. I was a writer - journalist, author - for nearly 25 years in London. The move to Cornwall in 2011 necessitated a new direction. My plan is to revert.I’ve learned some incredible new skills via retail, it was a madly steep learning curve, a huge challenge, and one I’m glad I took on. But it’s writing that I love.
