Director of The Evaluation and Development Agency (TEDA), a Newcastle based research agency which has offered research and evaluation services and consultancies to a wide range of clients since 1993. The Agency has a reputation for delivering high quality service on time, to specification, and within a competitive budget.For ten years I was a Senior Research Associate in the Education Department at Newcastle University where I secured and managed a series of high-profile national contracts, and lectured in research methods. I has also worked for the Local Authority as Curriculum Manager for Adult Education in Newcastle and for Newcastle College as a teaching practice assessor for City & Guilds teacher training courses. I have twenty years experience teaching in Comprehensive Schools and in Further and Higher Education. My particular research interests include teaching and learning in vocational education and training, the link between learning styles and teaching strategies, the emerging 14-19 work related agenda, the impact of disadvantage on opportunity structures and the analysis of complex data sets.
