I am a CompTIA A+, Server+ and Microsoft 365 and university qualified computer technician with over 10 years' experience supporting Networks, Servers, Hardware and Software across a variety of businesses ranging from Accountancy firms to the NHS. I am effective in high pressure situations and I have supported over 6000 devices, patch roll outs, system upgrades and teams of technicians within an Enterprise environment.     I have provided 1st to 3rd line support on an enterprise level network. Problem solving to find the solutions and communicating these concisely to all levels of management within the company. I carry out Hardware and Software support across a range of devices from smartphones and desktops to servers. I have supported my manager and the team by offering on-Call server, desktop and data centre support which included providing round the clock support when required. I have carried out patching/low level Networking configuration which I supported along with a number of Tape backup solutions, VMWare and Exchange Server Support. I have been involved in VIP Escalations and Project work as well as Administering Juniper VPN/Terminal Servers when and where necessary and have extensive experience using Ticketing systems such as Remedy, Spiceworks and Service Now.My role also involves Active Directory administration as well as me being responsible for multiple large scale SCCM software/patch rollouts (6000+ devices) on NHS UCLH sites.I am particularly proud of the worked on the Emergency Covid Excel Centre conversion.

    I designed, planned and built an entire network for a busy Accountancy firm which had very little infrastructure in place. This network consisted of a Linux server, VPN, VOIP phone system, Wi-Fi, external Firewall, several printers and scanners, smartphones, backup systems and a number of client workstations. I was the acting Administrator for the office network created above, providing constant on-site and remote support, maintenance and advice whilst being vigilant and respectfully of the nature of the firm’s work (privileged client conversations and information). I tailored each workstation specifically to the user’s requirements, running Windows XP/Vista/7 and Microsoft Office. I also created and administered multiple staff email accounts using Outlook and Thunderbird. Throughout my role I provided training to each member of staff to show them how to use the various IT systems I had put in place.

    During my time at BLIP I was subcontracted onto the ‘Sony Golden Space’ campaign and became solely responsible for over 200 sites across Europe. As a Senior member of staff, I devised support strategies that balanced customer upgrades, repairs and new Hardware with budget constraints within a high-pressured commercial environment. This prioritisation process was combined with the financial travel implications for the company to achieve the most cost effective, risk-based site upgrades. I prioritised what sites were visited based on team members skill sets, the site destination and Priority as well as it being my responsibility for the training and upskilling of technicians for assembling, testing and repairing systems. When other technicians were sent to sites I helped arrange accommodation and travelling arrangements in foreign countries the team members (and myself).My role involved helping in assembling, testing and repairing batches of custom computers to strict standards and deadlines. This included writing test scripts and help documentation for the technicians and I also had to oversee and assist in the testing and development of software/hardware media control systems.
