About Nick Read

My career has been built through gaining invaluable experience in retail operations, corporate strategy and in leading customer and service functions in both B2C and B2B2C multinational organisations. This provided the platform for three large scale leadership roles, as a Group CEO, in three distinct sectors - Retail, Energy supply and Logistics/Banking. All three businesses have unique ownership structures - Member owned, Private Equity and Government owned.The common component across all three roles was turnaround and crisis management. I specialise in the stabilisation, turnaround and building of growth strategies in struggling/failing businesses.As a consequence I have built up expertise in Government and Regulatory relations, managing large scale multi-site businesses and in building operating model and organisational design strategies alongside powerful internal and external communication programmes.As part of my current role at Post Office I also sit on the Government’s Retail Sector Council as well as the Government’s Financial Inclusion Committee.
