After working in production at SDS Lumber Co. and gaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology I took an opportunity to work in Human Resources with a passion to want to help people and business. I quickly moved into the HR Supervisor position after 6 months of recruiting and onboarding while continuing my work as Quality Control for the Sawmill in production. While I do have exposure to administrative tasks, my role with SDS Lumber was more focused in HR operations and aligning management with the vision of the Organization. On May 17th, 2021 I became a SHRM- Certified Professional.On February 15th of 2022, I made a move to Mount Adams Fruit. My primary responsibility was to recruit and onboard for positions at all levels. I also assisted with all other HR functions. My administrative tasks included setup of recruiting and onboarding in our new HRMS, Dayforce Ceridian. In March of 2023, I took on Plant Safety and Workers Comp in addition to being the primary recruiter and overseer of onboarding.June 1st, 2023 marks my four year anniversary as an HR Professional. I’m encouraged to develop a work culture that treats people well and upholds the practices and policies that it believes in. I believe to be unclear is to be unkind. I strive to bridge communication between employer and employee clearly. I work diligently to balance the interests of people and business for the greatest success & sustainability.
