Compliance Manager
Current• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Axon Weapons Compliance Program• Develop and oversee systems for uniform handling of violations• Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Business Development, Controller, Engineering, Human Resources, IT, Quality & CI, Operations, Legal, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution• Act as an independent review and evaluation officer to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately investigated, evaluated, and resolved• Consult with the Senior Compliance Officer and the General Counsel as needed to resolve complex legal compliance issues• Work with Human Resources and others, as appropriate, to maintain an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for identified employees and managers• Develop, review, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the Axon Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct• Maintain professional relations with authoritative personnel at all regulatory agencies and facilitate visits of those personnel to Axon facilities• Maintain an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting heightened awareness of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures• Monitor the performance of the Compliance Program and relate activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness
