• Provided oversight, training and technical assistance to 10 Baltimore Main Streets programs;• Secured over $2 Million in State and private grants for Baltimore Main Streets, BDC and local Main Street programs;• Served on the Steering Committee for the 2012 Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development Sustainable Communities application for the City of Baltimore; • Managed the acquisition and disposition of 11 commercial properties for redevelopment;• Coordinated the annual Miracle on Main Streets promotion to encourage City residents to shop in their local Main Streets for holiday gifts;• Reviewed and managed quarterly reports from local Main Street programs to ensure compliance before quarterly grant funds are released;• Lead Year-End Assessments of local Main Street programs and provided a detailed report including the programs accomplishments and challenges and provided recommendations for the upcoming program year;• Worked with property owners, small business owners and employees by offering technical assistance, façade improvement grants and voicing their concerns to the City;• Provided new Main Street Manager orientation and training;• Facilitated trainings on each of Main Streets Four Points®;• Led full-day volunteer management and best practices trainings for Baltimore Main Streets, Main Street Maryland and New Mexico Main Street;• Presented and/or led tours at the 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012 National Main Streets Conferences;• Co-wrote the successful application to host the 2012 National Main Streets Conference in Baltimore, served on the Lead Coordinating Committee, served as Volunteer Coordinator, assisted with selection of the theme and education sessions, assisted with fundraising and, assisted with planning and facilitating the 2012 Coordinator’s Meeting;• Assisted local Main Street programs by serving as a liaison between them and City Government with such as, but not limited to, permits and special events.

• Directly supported 24 AmeriCorps members to create or enhance volunteer programs at community-based organizations across the State;• Co-facilitated and planned two, two-day retreats for 48 participants;• Co-organized and staffed first Annual Anne Arundel County Conference on Emergency Preparedness for Individuals with Disabilities;• Co-planned and delivered two, two-week training programs for AmeriCorps Members; and• Co-authored quarterly Volunteer Maryland class newsletters.

Ten Month AmeriCorps position:• Recruited and managed 455 volunteers that provided 1,875 hours of direct service to Patterson Park;• Fostered key partnership El Centro de la Communidad;• Co-developed a Citizens on Patrol program for Patterson Park partnering with the Baltimore City Police Department and local community associations;• Conducted needs assessment which resulted in the expansion of an existing volunteer program to include a volunteer tracking database, volunteer policies and procedures and a PowerPoint presentation for volunteer recruitment and orientation; and• Developed a docent training program for the Patterson Park Pagoda.
