I am a highly commercial and deeply experienced leader in the energy sector.With over 25 years of experience, I have a track record of commercial delivery, including the development and execution of strategy in energy and low carbon markets. I have identified and led execution of complex business development and have built cross-cultural entrepreneurial trading and origination teams in the generation of sustainable returns in highly competitive markets. I have deep expertise in commodity trading, specializing in diesel, jetfuel and biofuel in both physical and financial markets. I hold over 15 years of international experience, have lived and worked in Asia and UK, and led global teams including offices in North America and the Middle East. I have created and maintained corporate partnerships across a range of industries and am experienced working with local and international Government agencies and representatives.Since returning to Australia in 2019, I have been working in support of bp’s energy transition: leading appraisal and entry to hydrogen projects, developing strategy to close and repurpose industrial refining assets and supporting the domestic renewable liquid fuels agenda in developing demand, feedstocks and onshore processing capability for SAF, renewable diesel and ethanol.I am experienced in the Australian power and onshore renewables market, including governance of our Australian power trading and origination business. I have direct Board experience, sitting in both Director and Observer roles in the power and liquid fuels companies, and externally in the solar energy sector.I am passionate about supporting Australia’s energy transition and acutely aware of the technical and commercial challenges we face to achieve energy security needs in a low-carbon economy.
