Responsible for covering all aspects of the Greene County government. Attending the meetings, taking photos and writing stories for the next day's newspaper.

I was the Scott County, Virginia beat reporter for the Kingsport Times-News. I was responsible for gathering all the news in the county, including covering government meetings, school board, features, cops and courts and any other news to come out of the county. I also worked extensively on the website. I worked closely with the Internet editor and ran the website when he was not there. I ran the sports, entertainment, regional&national and opinion sections on the website where I am in charge of finding copy and promoting it in a way to gain our readers attention. I also took photographs and shoot video to accompany some of my stories.
