As the product owner I am responsible for the development process. One of the major tasks is to make the key decisions in collaboration with the sofware, hardware and technical engineers. I am responible for the budget and timeline. Besides I give presentations to internal and external clients about this innovative technology.

Once a year I give the follow-up course on the failure mechanism Piping. The course consists the following topics:1. How to apply the design rules?2. Which are the most relevant parameter?3. What is the relation between groundwater flow and the piping process?4. How to derive the correct characteristic value by taking uncertainty in the subsoil into account?

Netherlands

A master thesis about the effect of anisotropy and heterogeneity in the piping sensitive layer. In this thesis, the effects were analysed in a elementary and a realistic numerical model study in order to improve the design rule of Sellmeijer.

Performing an intercomparison between levees and dams with focus on failure mechanisms. Furthermore, I investigate whether the WBI norm for internal erosion (piping), that is currently only formulated for dikes, can also be applied for dams.

Working abroad in a project with six master students from the Delft University of Technology. The project, which is performed in Myanmar, aims to create a framework that by following the structure globally shows how to make several delta areas flood proof. Cooperated also with three Dutch water companies, namely Arcadis, Boskalis and HKV.

One morning a week I was walking, knitting and playing games with elderly peoplesuffering from dementia. It was my job to brighten up and entertain lonely elderlypeople. They were very grateful because of our walks they had a chance to get out ofthe treatment centre and get some fresh air.

Once a year there is a cabaret show organized by KSV Sanctus Virgilius. I managedprimarily formulating the budget and the exploitation. I was also actively involved inguiding the comedians. I had written a sketch and performed it myself. I learned tomake clear budgets and not to be afraid to perform in front of an audience of 500people.
