Reporting to the LU NLE Project Director, was initially appointed to the role of Senior Project Manager for Battersea Underground station before transferring in Sep 2018 to the role of Programme Delivery Manager (Deputy Project Director) with wider responsibilities the delivery of the whole of the NLE (value circa £1.2bn). The role encompassed the project management on behalf of LU of the design, construction, commissioning and handover of the NLE, as well as extensive involvement in commercial matters relating to the administration of the main D&B NEC contract, the railway systems NEC contracts and various bespoke third party contracts. Led the negotiation of deeds of variation with the third party developer that facilitated the handover of areas of the site at Battersea Power Station that enabled the delivery of the underground station and its surrounding hard landscaping in a timeframe that met the delivery programme for the NLE. Structured the ESTL team (circa 50 direct and indirect reports) to suit the various phases of the project. Secured agreement from the TfL board to the delivery strategy for the ESTL and led the project management of the delivery contracts. In addition to ESTL, managed the development and embedment of the systems and processes for the integration of the scope required to deliver the configuration states to achieve the overall SUP performance improvements, including the introduction of the new S stock fleet. Worked closely with the engineering fleet operator, Transplant, and fleet sponsor to produce technical specifications for the procurement of new Matisa P&C tampers which came into use in early 2016. SUP value circa £4.2bn, ESTL project value circa £195m.LU Track Programme (Dec ’10 to Apr ‘12) – Project management of the mobilisation of the new track delivery contract for the design and delivery of ballasted track, P&C and drainage renewals. Also managed the design and installation of deep tube track renewals and enhancements on BCV infrastructure, working closely with operations and maintenance colleagues to secure completion and handover to maintenance. Instrumental in developing the project and commercial management capability within the deep tube renewals organisation (circa 100 direct and indirect reports) and driving productivity improvements and cost savings. Project and design management consultancy on major multi-disciplinary railway and civil engineering construction projects

On behalf of Scott Wilson, led the multi-disciplinary design team (circa 160 staff) with accountability for the detailed design (RIBA D to RIBA F) of Paddington Crossrail Station. Designs were produced on programme and to budget. Contributed to the value engineering exercise to secure an affordable delivery cost for Crossrail. Project value circa £250m.

Lead technical adviser, on behalf of Halcrow, for the development of the Notional Infraco strategy, under a commission from OPPPA, for the delivery of the 30 year PPP contract for JNP. The output contributed to the PPP Arbiter’s determination of the funding provision for JNP for Review Period 2.
