I am an experienced Data Analyst and Consultant with a systems development and operations background. Making the connection between process efficiency and profitability is a primary skill that I’ve honed throughout my career. I believe that developing a deeper understanding through research and analysis drives decision-making for leaders and delivers to the bottom line.My path to consulting and research weaves through my career in restaurants- I spent years working in kitchens and eventually managed a restaurant group. At each step in the journey I honed my time and resource management skills, synchronizing team timing down to the second to ensure the diners’ experience felt smooth and effortless. As I advanced, my thinking shifted to a bigger picture where I evaluated restaurant operations holistically: I considered the space, floor plan, kitchen layout, crew size and costs to calculate what was needed to streamline the entire system. Understanding the individual components and constraints allowed me to scale businesses while controlling costs and avoiding bottlenecks.My approach to problem solving is process driven and methodical. I believe confronting operations challenges requires understanding, goal setting, analysis, communication and iteration. When we pressure test systems in restaurants or enterprise businesses and analyze them, we can discover hidden opportunities in the data that can drive breakthroughs. This is the core of my work and work style – helping businesses determine highly efficient approaches to operational optimization.
