Worked within the Ministry of Defence Ministerial Advisory Group, Kabul.- Primary adviser to Director Logistics & Materiel Readiness (LMR), a Major General (OF7/2 Star) in the Afghan National Army. Ensured LMR was supported in his routine business as well as proactively growing his Directorate’s capacity to overcome challenges. - Executive Officer to the senior logistics adviser (US Marine Corps Colonel), ensuring the large logistic section worked cohesively and coherently. - Constant support to other logistic advisers in order to ensure they were able to complete missions to the Afghan Ministry of Defence.

Deepcut

DCLPA provides initial (Phase 2) and continuation (Phase 3) training to the UK's Armed Forces, civil servants, contractors and foreign armies.- Co-ordinated the outputs of 5 schools delivering logistics, policing & guarding and personnel administration training to tri-service customers as well as contractors, foreign forces and reservists. 11 sites, 680 course types, 5,600 course instances, 35,000 student outputs per year and the constant requirement to ensure that the training was sufficient, proficient and efficient.- Led the training operation as part of Operation ESCALIN; the government's reaction to the threat of industrial action by fuel tanker drivers in Spring 2012.

Aldershot

- Ensured that the 500-strong unit maintained its readiness to deploy. Described by the Brigade Commander as the “glue that holds the Regiment together” as the command team was stripped out in order to deploy on Operation HERRICK (Afghanistan). - Led the force generation of more than 19 units to form the 380-strong Theatre Logistic Group (TLG) for Operation HERRICK (Afghanistan). Commanded the 400-strong Rear Operations Group.- Completed the tour without any major incidents in both the Regiment in the UK and the TLG in Afghanistan.

Deepcut

- Organised the outer office of the Director (Brigadier) of the largest single capbadge organisation in the British Army. - Co-ordinated the output of the Headquarters, drafted the Director’s letters, articles and speeches.

Iraq

- Submitted Urgent Statement of User Requirements to the Permanent Joint Headquarters and coordinated the fielding of Urgent Operational Requirements in Theatre during a period that saw the Contingent Operating Base undergo the most intense period of rocket attacks.- Secured solutions to, inter alia: insufficient protection on logistics vehicles; ambulance variant of Mastiff Protected Mobility platform; landing strip for major unmanned aerial vehicle deployment; improved grip on personal weapon.

Boscombe Down

- Ensured the Management of Materiel in Transit logistic information system project maintained a focus on the Army’s user requirements.- Overcame inertia in the Joint Demand Tracking System (JDTS) project (a sub-set of the main MMiT programme), which had stalled by activating work strands and managing expectations.- Fielded the capability to customers’ satisfaction.

Abbey Wood, Bristol

- Engaged with contractors and other Ministry of Defence stakeholders to ensure that the Project’s crucial support solution was able to sustain Battle Group Thermal Imaging in service. - Supported the civil service project manager as his uniformed ‘minder’ making sure that requirements for trialling and fielding were met in the UK and Canada whilst picking up extensive project management experience in the process. - Overcame numerous difficulties and implemented a system that guaranteed that critical spares were not despatched until required thus maintaining the original, contracted inventory levels.
