After spending 15 years as an MEP commissioning engineer & manager, I joined Ove Arup & Partners Controls & Commissioning department in London in 1988. I spent 10 years with Arup C&C in London, but was gradually spending more and more time overseas. I was seconded to Arup Industrial Engineering in Hong Kong in 97 for a further 6 years, working on projects in China, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan & the Philippines.This was a great opportunity with such varied projects as, a brewery in Baoding, moving production lines to China from the USA & Germany, offshore gas platform in the Philippines, financial services fit-outs & data centres in Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc.I was due to return to Arup in London, but for personal reasons decided to stay on in Hong Kong and pursue projects in Asia.Shortly after leaving Arup I was offered consultancy work with Goldman Sachs. I spent a year with GS working on their projects in Japan, Korea & Hong Kong,After leaving GS I was with Morgan Stanley, covering projects in Taiwan & Hong Kong for nearly 3 years & recently completed a Credit Suisse project in Hong Kong with ISG Asia.Specialties: My specialities are in commissioning & project management of high specification MEP projects, such as data centres, financial services projects, road tunnels, hotels, laboratories, hospitals, airports, etc.
