Starting in 1998, I ventured into Melbourne, building National Tile’s first-ever presence outside of Geelong. This initial foray was marked by significant success as we catered to major tilers and commercial builders, creating a formidable footprint in the Victorian commercial tile and stone supply. My active involvement in global buying trips to destinations like China and Italy ensured that we always stayed ahead in terms of quality and variety.In 2006, I embraced a fresh challenge by relocating to Queensland. Here, my mission was to spearhead our brand's first expansion out of our home territory, Victoria. What began as operations from a home office burgeoned into one of Queensland's leading Retail and Commercial Tile supply businesses, churning out revenues in excess of $50 million annually. As the head of sales for the entire company, my role had me globetrotting to countries like China, Vietnam, Italy, and Spain, constantly striving to procure the best products for our customers.By 2012, I took the reins as the CEO/Managing Director of the entire company. This period was transformative, witnessing our sales rocketing from approximately $50 million to a $150 million plus, with profits surging nearly tenfold. Beyond these figures, it was our expansion into territories like South Australia, NSW, and Tasmania, coupled with the opening of new distribution centres in key locations, that truly stood as a testament to our brand's growth. In tandem, there were marked improvements in our product range, IT systems, store aesthetics, and warehousing.Post a year-long sabbatical in Italy, 2022 marked my return to the entrepreneurial arena with 'Casa Della Casa'. Based in Queensland's Gold Coast, we specialise in Tile, Stone, and Paver business, primarily catering to the commercial sector.
