Worked on routing of prospective two-way oil pipeline, running from Albany to Port Reading. Planned hydraulic specifications, routing options, access roads, environmental impact evaluations and horizontal directional drilling paths. Met directly with the lead project engineer every day and sat in meetings with contractors, land owners, perspective customers, and utility representatives.

Greater New York City Area

Gained experience with AutoCAD. Created, edited, and identified problems in riser diagrams. Worked on the HVAC diagrams for multiple projects including the building renovations for Madison Square Garden in New York City and Upson Hall at Cornell. Learned and checked building specifications against ASHRAE standards. Worked on projects that worked with plumbing, fire suppression, and HVAC systems.

Fairbanks, Alaska

Worked on production floor building fiberglass framed windows. Worked daily with handheld power tools as well as larger custom built fiberglass cutting, drilling, and punching tools as well as custom glass moving machinery installed on the factory floor. Learned about the interior mechanics of crank and "tilt and turn" windows, and how to identify problems with the interior mechanics. Worked on all parts of assembly.
