Manager - Advanced Development Engineering • Provide expert technical innovation, leadership and experience to support the initial stages of the New Product Development process (ideation & feasibility).• Support cross-functional teams towards the goal of exploring new technologies and products beneficial to the product development roadmap using recognized project-management skills.• Create and lead front end conceptual design process:• Generate concepts through innovative thinking and design lead tools• Development of the concept definition• Define technical risk, challenge and cost.• Liaise with Technical Engineers, Industrial Design, and Marketing to ensure downstream business alignment.• Work with marketing and engineering directors to identify technologies, concepts, and features that may be important to future products; define the scope and identify the cost, timing and development path for each project.

• Responsible for the management of a multi-discipline engineering team consisting of software, hardware and mechanical engineers at Spring Grove facility.• Working within the guidelines of the NPD process, supervised the successful launch of 10 new wireless products over 18 month period. • Responsible for improvements to the NPD process to reduce the durations of existing design cycle.• Lead Product Development Team comprised of key multi-functional groups assigned to the program.• Coordinated and maintained communications with the customer, systems staff and Divisional Operations for all related program activities.• Responsible for the coordination of overseas engineering and manufacturing efforts related to the wireless products division.

• Managed team of Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers with the objective to introduce new and “unique” sensor products for a wide variety of customer applications.• Organized the utilization of various engineering resources in both Pleasant Prairie facility as well as the design center in Juarez Mexico to maximize a global product development effort.• Responsible for verification of all customer inputs required to design the most cost effective, high quality product.• Maintained and reviewed project plans with responsible project engineer on a weekly basis, to insure adherence to project goals.• Reported department status to V.P. of Engineering on a weekly basis as well as monthly staff meeting review of all projects and monthly review of departmental expense and capital budgets.• Coordinate design of engineering document change control system through integration with existing PDM system
