I started my own firm in 2010 after a 7-month sabbatical with my wife spent traveling in Central and South America. I bring 3 decades of experience from both the design side and the construction side, having spent 10 years prior to earning my engineering degree designing and building furniture, performing finish carpentry and remodeling homes in the San Francisco Bay Area.I provide design and engineering solutions and work closely with clients, designers, architects and contractors to bring dreams to successful realities. I started as a staff engineer shortly after getting married and progressed in the firm to Director of Engineering.I led IPD's structural department helping manage and direct the engineering workload across three offices. I helped manage and lead IPD as a firm through participation on the management team.I have been the engineer of record on over 30 parking structures and have participated in industry presentations at IPI and PTI as well as having been published in IPI's magazine.

designed structural steel temporary shoring towers for multiple seismic retrofit projects on Bay Area freeways damaged by the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake including I280 and the Oakland approach to the Bay Bridge.Designed post tensioned two-way concrete podium slabs and gravity and lateral systems for multiple residential projects around the Bay Area.

Owned and operated and furniture and cabinet making business providing high-end furniture design and construction services.I worked on numerous small projects such as tables, credenzas etc for private individuals to large projects such as the fabrication and installation of a private library for a Napa Valley winery and entire 3000sf kitchens in Atherton etc.
