The role involves working mainly within the 'Talented' brand, sourcing candidates and providing account management for clients within the Start-up and SME sector.

The purpose of the role was to work with Local Authorities nationwide, safely identifying suitable Fostercare placements for children in care aged 0-18. Matches are made from within an existing pool of approved and trained Foster carers, with the ultimate intention of achieving positive outcomes for children. This takes place within a very fast paced and high pressured environment, as the volume of referrals for these children is vast and the role requires the ability to solve problems and make decisions on matching, within very short time scales. In this varied role, I am also required to liaise with the foster carers regarding potential matches, risk assess any matches with the carers' supervising social workers to ensure safe matching, liaise with the local authorities to arrange introductory and planning meetings, as well as prepare and deliver presentations to both carers and staff on the purpose, benefits and achievements of the placements team. To train as a teacher by planning and delivering lessons for Year 5 Primary School Children. This involved working full-time as an unqualified teacher under the guidance of a mentor, whilst attending mandatory classes and tutorials at Derby University which were intended to aid in professional development.

To assist the school's teachers in the delivery of their classes. Having opted for teaching as a career path, I decided to contact my old primary school to ask if they would allow me to return to the school to work voluntarily for 2 - 3 days a week to gain some experience in the field. They were happy to take me on and also organised a CRB check for me.
