On a daily basis I was responsible for managing 5 crew members and 25 cyclists during our city to city transport. I was also the head of the team safety committee. My duties included communicating logistics to crew members, providing proper nutrition for the team, identifying safety related issues, providing solutions to enhance the safety of the team, and problem solving in the field to guarantee a safe arrival to each city.The event covered 56 cities in approximately 4,000 miles and raised funds and awareness for people with disabilities. Each city also provided the opportunity to volunteer at a local organization that serves people with disabilities where we were able build an impacting relationship with their participants.
