As the current chemist for the analytical team I leverage my technical expertise to solve problems and improve manufacturing processes and procedures at production sites and testing laboratories throughout the Sazerac network. I'm currently working with distilleries to institute new technologies and processes. Additionally, I'm managing external collaboration research projects. I have also successfully lead the R&D lab to 17025:2017 ISO accreditation and continue to manage the program. Furthermore, I generate comprehensive technical compliance documents to ensure adherence to industry and export country standards and regulations.

As a lab tech at Buffalo Trace Distillery I evaluated ingredients and finished products to ensure both meet specifications. Additionally, I ensure activities, processes, and products are compliant with government agencies' regulatory requirements including OSHA, TTB, and EPA. I lead Sazerac's network packaging testing operations, encompassing evaluation, analysis, and comprehensive reporting of results, leading to enhanced system reliability and performance. Furthermore, I managed Sazerac's consumer and customer complaint process evaluating, testing, and writing dispositions. Finally, as a lab tech I earned a HACCP certification from the International HACCP Alliance.

As graduate student in the biochemistry program at UT Austin and my research focus is on inexpensive biosensors. My work on the development of a paper base biosensor for the detection of bacteria was of interest to NASA who awarded me a fellowship that included NASA center based research periods

As a research engineer at Innosense LLC. I supported higher level scientist with experimental design, data acquisition, data analysis, procedure/methods documentation, and reporting. The focus of our research was optical sensors. Our research was supported by grants from NASA, DOE, DOD, and NIH.
