Nick has covered stories like the war in eastern Ukraine, the Tree of Life shooting, labor in the Rust Belt and Appalachia, home-birth during COVID, Black Lives Matter protests in Pittsburgh, abuse within the Catholic Church, and Caribbean pirate FM radio in Brooklyn. He’s the director of the Pittsburgh chapter of the Video Consortium and a member of NPPA, Storyhunter, Press Club of Western Pennsylvania, Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, and Associated Artists of Pittsburgh. Nick works independently as a freelance visual journalist, camera operator, director, and multi-media editor for a variety of editorial and commercial clients. He owns his own equipment and can quickly respond to breaking news assignments in the Pittsburgh tri-state area.
