Worked on large scale project to model ground water contamination for private wells across the lower 48 states. Created Python script to model roughly 5,000 aquifer boundaries from a point dataset consisting of 273,000 of well locations.Utilized network analyst extension to calculate travel times/distances for cancer patients to nearest treatment facility. - Using Python, created a data management tool with a Graphic User Interface to create a uniform data structure (folder, map templates, and geodatabases) for each project. Presentation and Python script are available here: http://www.slug-gis.info/digist-1/02-12-2014- Created over 20 custom geoprocessing and administrative tools using Python, complete with Graphic User Interface and help documentation.- Expanded JBR service line with photorealistic simulations by utilizing a combination of three dimensional GIS software and Adobe Photoshop.- Created maps and figures that visually and statistically support reports and documents, including Environmental Impact Statements.- Trained staff members in various GIS concepts and shortcuts, including advanced editing, field calculator techniques, and Python scripting.- Developed and implemented a method to greatly expedite areal calculations using pivot tables in Microsoft Excel.- Wrote help documentation with step by step directions for GIS processes.- Utilized GIS to calculate volumes of containment for multiple dam scenarios to help determine the best site location.- Performed a viewshed analysis to determine the number of transmission line poles visible along a scenic stretch of highway. - Created a map from police video footage to illustrate the positions of vehicles involved in a 20+ car traffic accident. Map was intended for evidentiary purposes in litigation.

Created maps using good cartographic design and practices. Updated existing spatial data such as municipal boundaries. Implemented GIS data and aerial photos to verify/append a list of tall buildings for the Sandy Fire Department.
