Assisted with successfully integrating JBR Environmental Consultants’ (JBR) GIS system into Stantec’s GIS system. Including the modification of a custom python tool designed to standardize GIS file structure and map templates. This python script was presented at the ESRI User Conference in July 2014. Worked on large scale project to model ground water contamination for private wells across the lower 48 states. Created Python script to model roughly 5,000 aquifer boundaries from a point dataset consisting of 273,000 of well locations.Utilized network analyst extension to calculate travel times/distances for cancer patients to nearest treatment facility..

- Using Python, created a data management tool with a Graphic User Interface to create a uniform data structure (folder, map templates, and geodatabases) for each project. This project setup script was presented to 100 plus individuals at the Salt Lake User Group meeting on February 12, 2014. Presentation and Python script are available here.

• Developed and taught both basic and advanced GPS courses to instruct recreational users in proper use of GPS devices, maps, and relative information, including datums, coordinate systems, & limitations.• Received REI’s Anderson Award (REI’s version of employee of the year) in recognition of effort put into GPS courses and overall good work ethics.

• Engineered an alternative solution using ModelBuilder to overcome limitations with the default ESRI Network Analyst service area tool. Presented problem and solution to 120 people at a Salt Lake GIS User Group meeting on May 11, 2011. Also, used my model to create several large format maps of Salt Lake County fire response times.
