I am a 22- year old student at Western Illinois University. I've been studying agriculture since I was 19 years old. I've been working in the agricultural field ever since then. I've worked with the Former Secretary of Agriculture for Illinois for 5 years. In that 5 year time period, I learned more about how to operate small cabbed tractors with tillage implements, helped corral cattle and gave them medicine, learned more about mechanics, and more. My family owns a 1,000-acre farm in Greenfield, Illinois where I learned how to drive 300 horsepower tractors on the go with a grain cart. This past summer I worked for Nutrien Ag Solutions in Macomb, Illinois to obtain more experience about what my future could hold. I learned a lot about the importance of crop scouting for insects, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies. I've learned how to properly transport and safely be around hazardous substances. I understand what hard work is. I am someone that can be relied on for help and can be trusted to get the job done. I take pride in my work and pays very close attention to detail.
