I am the HR & Talent Director for LiNK Health, and I like to think that I’m one of the lucky ones – I work for a company that not only respects and trusts all their employees but understands what is important about giving every individual an opportunity to shine. My previous role was as UK HR Director at WPP Health Practice and with that spent much of my time creating modern and flexible HR frameworks, developing programmes across workforce planning, L&D and talent and improved employee relations. Additionally, I have played a key role in major organisational and cultural change initiatives, as well as day-to-day HR business, including team leadership, compensation and benefits and stakeholder management. Having built open, trusted and collaborative relationships throughout my career, I understand what it takes to establish best practice people infrastructure, cohesive teams and consistent performance. I enjoy working with teams to share knowledge, resolve challenges and provide focus, support and guidance in motivating employees to achieve their career goals and drive the business forward.My career started in 1992 at Shire Health, a niche PR agency, where I gained technical grounding in HR-related matters and progressed over the next nine years to manage payroll, recruitment, inductions and training.In 2001, I transitioned to Ogilvy Healthworld UK as HR Manager, providing timely and accurate HR services to 220 personnel. With management of the UK HR team, as well as staff in New York, I integrated Ogilvy Healthworld into the wider group network and transitioned teams and businesses to a new people matrix. I was promoted to HR Director in 2007, mapping an employee-focused culture that aligned people, processes and systems. In 2017, I became the UK HR Director of Healthcare Specialist Agencies and brought fundamental change to the WPP network in consolidating six healthcare brands. In addition to streamlining operations, I led HR-related matters, as well as payroll and benefits for 350 employees.Now, I am back where I belong working for an independent creative agency where individuals can enjoy the best of being themselves at work and enjoy a good work/life balance.
