About Nick Cave
Nick always loved the idea of creating 2D animations and has been lucky to have worked on both personal and client animation projects. In 2019 he created a couple of new animated videos for Warwickshire Libraries and Warwickshire Heritage and Culture which are showcased on this profile. He's now also a Skillshare teacher - with two creative and animation courses published. Check them out here:https://www.skillshare.com/user/cavedawesNick enjoys creating promotional videos, rich content websites and instructional digital resources, plus Nick can also code, having created both personal and client mobile apps and interactive web games, all programmed in Adobe Animate CC, or Unity.Nick also created a bespoke e-learning fire evacuation compulsory building induction training program for Library of Birmingham staff and undertaken both video production and editing for a Birmingham based book festival, as well as creating and producing a range of client promotional videos.Nick was commissioned to create and animate a children's music video for the catchy dance tune, 'Bhangra Rave.' Here, Nick got to turn the singer into a live puppet, animate him and add other additional content, such as dancing potatoes, cauliflowers and even carrots! He put these animation skills to good use in creating another Bhangra themed video, 'Dinosaur Rock Bhangrasaurus Bhangra' also for the same client.Nick uses Adobe Animate CC, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Pixelmator, The Wick Editor and mobile apps like Adobe Capture, Adobe Draw, Assembly, Procreate, Affinity Designer, Core Animator, DoInk Animation and Luma Fusion to create his animated videos and motion graphics. Nick’s next ambition is to work on a short animated film and experiment more with brilliant digital art and design and animation apps!
